Our Technology
West End Travel operates Travcom, the UK's foremost airline computer reservation and ticketing system. In conjunction with Speedfares we are able to offer our clients the most cost effective and suitable travel arrangements, geared to each client's individual needs. Our state of the art British Rail Evolvi system books, confirms and issues rail tickets valid throughout the UK.
We continually update our technology, installing new and innovative products in order to increase our operational efficiency and to provide the best possible business travel facilities for our clients.
Our Licences
ABTA
West End Travel Ltd is a Member of ABTA with membership number 61273. ABTA and ABTA Members help travellers to get the most from their travel and assist them when things do not go according to plan. We are obliged to maintain a high standard of service to you by ABTA’s Code of Conduct. For further information about ABTA, the Code of Conduct and the arbitration scheme available to you if you have a complaint, contact ABTA, www.abta.com . All the package and Flight-Plus holidays we sell are covered by a scheme protecting your money if the supplier fails. Other services such as hotels or flights on their own may not be protected and you should ask us what protection is available.
IATA
West End Travel is a full member of the International Air Travel Association. Our accreditation authorises us to sell and issue international airline tickets. IATA regulates the finances and staff qualifications of members to ensure they meet their stringent agency criteria.
ATOL & CAA
West End Travel holds an Air Travel Organiser's License (ATOL), a passenger protection for flight inclusive holidays under the umbrella of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). All tour operators and travel firms selling air holidays are required by law to hold an ATOL license, which is renewed on an annual basis.
Many of our flights and flight-inclusive holidays are financially protected by the ATOL scheme. But ATOL protection does not apply to all holiday and travel services. Please ask us to confirm what protection may apply to your booking. If you do not receive an ATOL Certificate then the booking will not be ATOL protected. If you do receive an ATOL Certificate but all the parts of your trip are not listed on it, those parts will not be ATOL protected.
